Handmade Details
"I thought it would be cool to have table ‘mythological creatures’ instead
of table numbers, and in the shape of a shield so it could be considered
the table's crest. We picked our favourites, such as the Minotaur, Centaur,
Pegasus, Griffin, Sphinx, etc. Ours was the Unicorn, because both Kellen and
I as children collected them in the form of pewter sculptures.
I hand-made all twelve of them and enjoyed every moment as I love arts and
crafts! You can see some of them in the photographs. We also designed the
matchboxes, which had a Braveheart quote on the back, and were placed at
every seat with twine wrapped around them.
All the decorations were handpicked, including the giant K and A letters
which were covered in moss by Kellen's mom and sister."
