The Wedding Playbook Volume 5 | Page 110

Finding Their Style "We started off wanting the wedding to have a rustic feel, as the beautiful 1909 in Topanga Canyon, California sets an incredible backdrop for it. The venue used to host Shakespearean plays so there is a lovely amphitheatre and an open meadow at the bottom of the hill. The owner, Amir, hand made a wood plaque with our names, wedding date and an image of a tree with The 1909 etched into it as a gift. He had a lot to do with our choosing it as the venue. He has a very peaceful energy and calming nature...that combined with the canyon itself and we were sold! We had both the ceremony and the reception there. The more we planned, the more it turned from rustic into having an enchanted forest feel.”
