DIY was also part of the plan, “Our
stylist helped us with a stack of
DIY projects, including making a
backdrop for our photo both from
ribbons, lace and bunting. We
decorated jars for the tables with
lace, twine, hessian and glitter.
We did all the flowers ourselves,
getting up at the crack of dawn to
go to the flower markets!”
Mieke and Dan also created
a lovely memento of their
relationship, “We made a photo
guest book of our years together
and included pictures our friends
could write next to."

family are dying to help you!) and
relax because everything will work
out. No one really cares if you get
the pink flowers or the yellow –
it’s going to be an amazing day
regardless!”
