“Dan, Tamara and I had organised a couple’s session at the sunflower
fields, so Tamara knew she was going to be photographed that day, but was
unaware of the proposal Dan had planned for her. I was ecstatic when Dan
approached me on the sly and asked if I would capture the proposal during
the session and of course I squealed with excitement! We worked out a
code word so that when I said it he would know I had the shot set up and
was ready when he was. A proposal is an amazing thing to photograph, as
you get those raw emotions that you just can’t setup or re-do.”
