With New Year’s right around the corner, what better way to start 2017 than with a vision board party! As a business owner, you can benefit from creating a vision board that depicts your resolutions and all you intend to accomplish in your life and business for the upcoming year. A vision board, or a collage of images and phrases that represent a person’s goals and dreams, is a great way to define the life you envision for yourself. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when hosting a vision board party for yourself and colleagues.

Why Host a Vision Board Party?

Hosting a vision board party can be an epic way to visualize and set the foundation for all you’d like to accomplish in the upcoming year. Even for those who are not artsy or crafty, vision board parties are a fun way to gather alongside like-minded, goal-oriented folks who just want to have fun and share their aspirations. Vision boards typically include images from magazines, pictures printed from the internet, cut-outs of inspirational quotes and even hand written phrases and affirmations. Each of these items is then attached to a poster board with either glue or tape to create a unique vision board that represents your visions for the future. Common areas of focus for a vision board include: career, physical health, relationships, finances, and bucket list items, just to name a few.

What You'll Need

Throwing an amazing vision board party is simple. All you’ll need to do is host a location and then invite a group of attendees. You’ll need to provide them with the following:

Poster boards

Stacks of magazines

Construction paper

Scissors

Glue sticks and tape

Snacks

Refreshments

Fun music

Each guest will be given a poster board. Then as a group you will create your boards, chat about your ambitions and share your thoughts regarding the future. Vision board parties are an excellent way to relax from your busy schedule and gather your thoughts, all while creating a visual representation of your dreams in a positive, group setting.
