Charbonneau Women's Golf Association LinDA OWEn So many wonderful memories of 2013 will be fondly tucked away as we ready for the new Year and what lies ahead . . . and what good memories they are! Speaking of “tucked away” . . . time to remove those trees, ornaments and other holiday decorations. Get your new golf bags, shoes and fashionable attire you received ready for 2014 golf. Snow birds . . . we await your arrival! CWGA had a year filled with terrific tournaments, luncheons, fun play days and, more importantly, close and lasting friendships. The Pro Shop went over and above expectations by assisting us with our tournaments and providing a friendly and helpful environment for our guests throughout the year. Thanks to Chris Bensel and his staff. A new board is preparing for another productive and enjoyable year. All committee chairs have been filled. Thanks, ladies, for stepping up. The first board meeting will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 9 am. One question is how to build reserves to provide upkeep of the golf course. Country Club – Golf Club Merger Planning Update By Denny Atkin & Steve Perry Work continues on a possible merger of the Charbonneau Golf Club into the Charbonneau Country Club. Four hard-working volunteers from each club are meeting regularly as they work their way through all the details necessary to finalize a plan that would best serve all the residents of our community. We have heard from several members of the community expressing a desire to be kept up-todate on this effort, with a plea for more specifics. There is a myriad of legal elements and both groups are working diligently to protect our community’s assets and the lifestyle and ambiance we all love here in Charbonneau. Once a plan is finalized, it will be presented to CGC shareholders - and then all homeowners - in detail, so that both groups will have an opportunity to vote on it.
