This is a novel that introduces us to the changes, not only in Daisy’s life, but also the changes that occurred during the 20th Century. I enjoyed this book by listening to it on tape. Shields, who has been compared to Margaret Atwood and Alice Munro, has a way with her writing to both amuse and pull at your heart strings as you look through her family album.
