The Charbonneau Villager was relieved that it would be moved and saved. Destruction of the house would have brought the wrath of historic preservationists. It took five hours to truck the house to the northwest fringe of Aurora. There, it sat for 30 days while county workers shored up the bridge to support the weight of the payload before it crossed over Mill Creek. I
