for 2014
Renewal applications were
mailed out to existing club members during mid-November.
However, because 24 new members have joined the club during
the past two months (which puts
us at an all-time high with respect
to number of members), a wait list
has been implemented for nonCharbonneau residents. Charbonneau residents are welcome to
join at any time. See Kim Hosford at the CCC office for a membership application. The first of
the year is an ideal time to join,
and a tennis club membership is
a great Christmas gift for your
spouse.

In the June issue of The Villager, I wrote a piece titled "A Family of Good Sports," covering Bob
Wolff's donation of audio and
video recordings to the Library of
Congress.
Last month, my wife, Beth,
and I visited my first cousin, Bob,
in New York. Bob and his wife,
Jane, showed us trophies and
awards he had accumulated over
the years. As we left, he had just
received one from the Guinness
Book of World Records.
I asked Bob why he still keeps
broadcasting at age 92. Without
hesitating, he said, "Richie, you
have to keep your name out there,
or they will quickly forget who
you are!"
