Perennial Math Tournaments are live tournaments where students meet at a facility and take 2 tests in order to receive individual and team awards. Out of 44 6th grade students around the Memphis area 3 Arlington Middle School students placed at the Perennial Math competition. Out of 12 teams, AMS earned 3rd place. Sawyer Oselies earned 2nd place out of 44 6th grade students and Josiah Griffin and Grace Chen earned 3rd place. Their team consisting of Trevor Brooks, Phoenix Scott, Sawyer Oselies, Grace Chen and Josiah Griffin earned 3rd place out of 12 teams. Lakland middle prep L MPS 8th graders took on the school faculty in front of a packed gym. The event was a fundraiser for the upcoming 8th grade formal. It looks to be an annual tradition on the Lakeland Prep campus in coming years!! Lakeland elementry LSS International Family Night: The ESL Team amazed the LSS community with another amazing International Fam- ily Night. A night filled with celebrating diversity was a huge success. Our students and their families were very excited to share their cultures with attendees. Thank you to all of those who helped make this night one to remember. Mardi Gras: Students in first grade had a special treat! Karen Dacus shared all things about Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras with Mrs. Carson’s class. Club Invention: Club Invention students have been hard at work! They worked to rebuild the struc- tures in the town of Unlucky, after an earthquake destroyed everything. Chess Tournament: CONGRATULATIONS to 4th grader Savannah Meece for medaling in the President's Day Chess Tournament on February 16th! Way to go!
