38002.com theview theview January 2015 arlington high Arlington HS Hosts Penny Hardaway’s Hoopsfest Some of the best high school hoopsters were in town as Arlington High School hosted Penny Hardaway’s Hoopfest on Saturday, January 10. Television network ESPN broadcast the feature game, which saw Hamilton (TN) knock off #1 ranked Oak Hill Academy (VA) 87-76. Arlington boys played perennial powerhouse Simeon from Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, January 10 as part of Penny Hardaway's Hoopsfest. ARTS NOTES Visual Arts Arlington High School artists had 33 pieces of artwork accepted into the juried 7th Annual Tennessee Art Education West Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibit in Humboldt, Tennessee, twelve of which won awards. The show will run from January 12, 2015 – February 27, 2015 with a public awards reception on Sunday, January 25, 2:00-4:00pm at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center in Humboldt, Tennessee.
