Over the summer the AES PTA had a rock wall installed in the gym. Students have
been enjoying the challenge of climbing all the way from one side of the wall to the
other while keeping within certain peramiters. Climbing is an every season sport which
helps student build confidence and overcome fears. It also builds problem solving skills
while strengthening their core. Fourth grader Molly Simpson said “I like the climbing
wall because it’s challenging” and Ali Hassenzahl loves it because “I like climbing &
it’s so cool that I get to climb at school.”
We are happy to announce this year’s

Four Arlington Elementary School
third graders competed in the Battle-
ground Tournament of Champions, an
elite Nashville soccer tournament that
involves opponents from Tennessee
and at least five surrounding states.
The Bartlett soccer club the girls play
for competed in the gold bracket,
which is the highest contest in the
tournament. Their team won a silver
medal overall.

In second grade, addition and subtraction word
problems can be tricky, but food and friends make it
more fun! Thanks again parents for donating different
treats for our students to enjoy while growing their
brains!
Because our amazing school reached our PTA mem-
bership goals, our students were treated to a visit from
Mr. Bob’s Animal Show. Mr. Bob brought several dif-
ferent animals to show our students and some of our
teachers were even able to hold them! A huge thanks
goes out to our PTA for hosting this fantastic event!
Ms. Yates’ class worked on following multi-step direc-
tions and sequencing by tie dying shirts. We loved help
from one of our favorite people, Mrs. Gen! They can’t
wait to show off their shirts on their field trip at the end of
this month.
Donelson Elementary held a beautiful
celebration at their Veterans Program!
Donelson’s own School Safety
Officer joined the Thanksgiving
fun with our kindergarteners. He
was named Chief Bulldog!
