A Traveler's Guide to

Jungfraujoch

By Katherine L.

Jungfraujoch, called the Top of Europe, is a summit 3,454 meters above sea level. Part of the Bernese Alps, it is located in Switzerland and can be reached by taking a train from a station in Interlaken.

The day of your exciting journey to the Jungfraujoch, dress for freezing temperatures no matter the season. Don’t shy away from gloves, scarves, fuzzy socks, or hats! However, if going in the summer, make sure to pack shorts and a T-shirt, for while the summit is well below freezing, Interlaken can be sweltering hot. Bringing a camera along is highly recommended, for the sights you will see are breathtaking and you will want to capture every moment.
