This Earth has problems,
Big and small.
It seems like there's no hope for tomorrow.
There's the problems we create by ourselves,
Fighting each other
And raging war.
Conflicts that seem to never end.
Countries threatening
Global leaders arguing
Nuclear destruction.
Ignoring those in extreme poverty
People deprived of basic human needs
Millions left hungry
Unable to afford education.
Refugees and Immigrants abandoned
Not given a second chance.
Showing selfishness to the less fortunate
Global warming heating the Earth
Humans stripping our land of its resources.
Discriminating against different race, religion, and beliefs
Racism steadily getting worse, with people hating others.
Stereotyping against a religion based on extremists.
Women leaders looked down on
Because of their gender
Sometimes it’s just as simple as being mean
Greedy and Ignorant
Hating
So many things are wrong with the world
And it seems like nothing can go right.
No matter how you look at it,
This is the world we live in.
