At present, in May 2017, Donald Trump is the current president of the United States, and Hillary Clinton is writing about her 2016 election experience. Both are idolized by many people, and may one day get their own page in the history books.

Hillary’s career in Washington began in 1993, when she became first lady to president Bill Clinton. In 2000, she was elected as a New York Senator. As Senator, she sponsored 363 bills, where 11 were successfully enacted. One of her most prominent votes, was her vote of yes on the Iraq Resolution, which authorized military action in Iraq. Then, in 2007, Hillary announced her candidacy for the president of the United States for the first time. Although she lost to Barack Obama in 2008, she was nominated to be the 67th Secretary of State for President Obama. As Secretary of State, she visited Haiti in 2010 to help after the very devastating earthquake, and testified about the Benghazi attack in 2013.

Then, in 2016, she she announced her second presidential candidacy. That same year, the FBI announced they were going to re-open the case of Clinton's email scandal, where she was charged for allowing national defense
