Just 50 miles off the coast of Miami, there exists a stretch of stone formations, unknown to the world until 1968. Discovered by chance, the intricate formation of rocks caused many philosophers and scientists to wonder if this may have any links to the ancient civilization of Atlantis. Atlantis was described by the Greek philosopher Plato as an island whose cataclysmic doom was brought forth by their declining ethics, and as a result, was sunk by earthquakes and floods somewhere in the Atlantic sea. Ever since Plato’s time, firm believers and skeptics have tried to prove or disprove its existence. However, in 1938, the discovery of the Bimini Roads was about to bring forth the lost city under a new light.

One day in the year 1938, a famous American prophet and psychic, Edgar Cayce predicted that the temples of Atlantis will soon be discovered under the slime of ages and seawater near Bimini in the year 1968 or 1969. Curiously enough, in 1968, a diver from the waters near The Bimini Island announced to the world the discovery of a road-like structure composed purely out of limestone blocks. There were three separate linear roads, each made up of multiple rectangular blocks.

Dimensions of each block ranged from being as small as 3-4 feet wide, and as large as 10-13 feet wide. These structures were quickly dubbed the Bimini Road, spurring the interests of many people. Soon, there were multiple theories stating that the Bimini Roads were actually the remnants of the long sought-after city of Atlantis.

As far-fetched as these theories may have seemed, there was no tangible proof at that moment to reject these speculations. Meanwhile, as scientists prepared their analysis and took the radiocarbon dating of the limestone samples, there were many heated debates as to whether the Bimini Roads were truly the remains of Atlantis. Some said that the Bimini Roads were too perfectly aligned to have been created by nature, thus argued that it was manmade, quite possibly by the people from Atlantis. Conversely, others argued that there was no proof that the different linear branches were ever touching; therefore, the stone formation could have never formed a whole structure or a building.

The skeptical public did not have to wait long for the needed evidence to surface. Soon, the scientists determined that through the results
