 Since 2013 a very enthusiastic and inspired group of students plucked up the courage to

enter the various Drama Festival competitions and did extremely well.

 They brought home various awards and trophies and some of the students will definitely

keep the Community Theatre going for the years to come, entertaining and empowering
the community as a whole and also create opportunities for other young people to develop.

 With the performing arts it is always a challenge to decide whether the “stars” will once

again be given the opportunity to receive all the awards, or whether the “newbies” will be
given their chance. The past year did not render as many trophies as the previous years,
but there was a wider participation in drama from a much broader sample of the youth, as
well as adult women in the community (total 26). The seeds sown will definitely bring in a
substantial harvest of new actors in the years to come.
