 Six of the crafters decided to stretch their creativity and embrace puppetry as a form of expression. They each manufactured their own puppet from recycled material and once the puppets were ready, they wrote their first script about the prevention of TB and performed it at the quarterly meeting of DOHealth.  This performance was followed by a commissioned play for Cape Winelands Hospice and after that the Dept of Education commissioned the group to perform at five schools with an anti-bullying play. They received payment for their performance. The group works well together and they are encouraged to form an independent puppetry performing group, managing and marketing their own business. They will focus on the Community Theatre, specifically with children’s plays.
