The development of the mothers parallel to their children has become an absolute norm at Lammeroes
ECD, and has proven to be an excellent way of growing an educated community. 51 mothers completed
the Word Works Early Literacy Course which was presented by the trained teachers.
The Foundation is grateful for the quality of parent we have, which is proven by the level of attendance of
parent evenings, but especially the ownership they have taken of fund-raising events and school functions.
The school attendance percentage over the year was again 94%, an indication of committed parents. This
is a major step in the process of accepting stewardship and ownership, which is at times a worrying aspect
in the community.
