TEENAGE GIRLS ARE LIKE WEATHER by Ashley Torbic

Teenage girls are like weather

They’re unpredictable and unnerving

People try and track them

Saying that they’re all the same

But they aren’t

Teenage girls are like lightning

They strike quick and confident

They have bursts of energy before folding in on themselves

Teenage girls are like lightning

When their warning alarm sounds, not everyone runs

Teenage girls are like tornadoes

They are hot cheeks and nesting hearts

Swirled with cold pints of ice cream and glossy eyes

They come out of nowhere

And can leave unfixable destruction behind

Teenage girls are like rain

They hold everything in until it becomes too much

Falling down around them with no way back up

Some people pay them no mind

While others blame them for ruining their plans

Teenage girls are like landslides

They hold more on their shoulders than they can

One small slip and it comes tumbling down

With no one to catch it all

And no one to help them hold it up
