In February The TRADE flew across the pond to Miami for the TradeTech FX
US 2019 conference, a two-day event dissecting the most pressing issues
to both US and European foreign exchange (FX) market participants.
The evolving and increasingly important role of technology within FX
trading was the focus for speakers and presenters across the event,
with the rise of algorithmic trading and the balance be-tween hi- and
low-touch trading, the importance of pre-trade data analytics and
transaction cost analysis, and the ongoing threat of consolidation among
