BPSS luncheon highlights CCI collaboration
The sixth annual Boone Powell Sr. Society luncheon, held in April,
provided an opportunity for Baylor Health Care System Foundation to
express gratitude and honor the more than 200 members of the society. The Boone Powell Sr. Society recognizes individuals who have
left legacies in support of programs and initiatives at Baylor Health
Care System, funding Baylor’s mission beyond their lifetimes.
The luncheon program highlighted the collaboration between Baylor
Scott & White Health and Canine Companions for Independence®,
which provides highly trained assistance dogs to children and adults
with disabilities. Special guest, Adam O’Day, 14, brought his “best
friend” and Canine Companions service dog, Tyler, and his parents,
Mike and Anna, along with siblings, Rachel, 16, and Zac, 11, to share
their story.
