Circulatory System

The circulatory system is an organ system that passes nutrients (such as amino acids, electrolytes and lymph), gases, hotmones, blood cells, etc. To and from cells in the body to help fight deseases, stabilize body temperature and pH, and to maintain homeostasis.

To improve our knowledge our Biology teacher decides, for us to undestand better and see how the heart is and how the circulatory system works, to make us open a cow heart to see all the veins, arteries, left and right ventricle, left and right atrium, etc. Firstly we made an incision in the left ventricle so we opened and we saw all the arteries and the veins. Then we opened the other side, the right atrium and we saw all its parts. To finished, he let us to cut it wherever we wanted so we started opened it everywhere.

What is the job of the Circulatory System?

The Circulatory System is responsible for transporting materials throughout the entire body. It transports nutrients, water, and oxygen to your billions of body cells and carries away wastes such as carbon dioxide that body cells produce. It is an amazing highway that travels through your entire body connecting all your body cells.
