THEME: THE AMAZING RACE
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such
a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.
They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

is the famous Kenyan marathon
runners who sacri?ce and spend most of
their precious time running up and down
mountains just to make themselves as ?t

As followers of Christ, who “...put off
our old self and put on the new self
which is being renewed in knowledge,
in the image of the Creator” (Colossians

takes to race and race until we are tired

came many cancellations of booked retreats. Camp Tejas
would serve approximately 3,000 guests during the ?rst
year of operations. The Jones’ commitment to Christian service would quickly pay off as the number of guests would
rise to 5,000 by 1984.
We should not take advantage of the fact
that we are not perfect and keep on sinning (Romans 6:1-3), but the newness
and change should be evident in us. Our
deeds should re?ect Christ.
