RODGERS VITAH
Rodgers first served at Camp Tejas for the summers of 2003 and 2004. Since
December 2004, he has been in the U.S. as a college student and volunteer
for Camp Tejas as a summer staffer, speaker, and singer. He has an amazing
gift for capturing the hearts of his audience.
TESTIMONY
Rodgers grew up in a very large family. They were idol worshippers for many
generations. As a young child, God led Rodgers to a local church where he
trusted in Jesus as his Savior. For many years, he attended church without
his family’s support or approval. In 1990, a missionary team from Houston,
TX met Rodgers and began to pay for his education at Mombasa Baptist High
School. This inspired his mother to attend a local church where she soon gave
her life to Christ. Since then, ten of Rodgers’ siblings have given their lives to
Jesus Christ and one of his brothers is a church pastor. To hear Rodgers share
his testimony with enthusiasm and life is exciting.
FUTURE GOALS
Rodgers has a heart for children and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He
plans to minister through his talents here in the U.S., at home in Kenya, and
