I
’m so blessed to be at this wonderful
place. God had a special plan for me,
and that’s why He brought me to Camp
Tejas, the best camp in the world. “I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
I live in the largest country in the
world, Russia. The main religion in
Russia is Christianity. But to be a Christian in Russia means to be the laughing-stock everywhere. God brought
me here to show what it means to be a
REAL CHRISTIAN.
This summer is the best one in my
life because I’ve met many new people
through whom God teaches me day by
day and through whom I’ve learned
the right answer for many important
questions. I realized that it’s impossible to please God or glorify Him if
we don’t follow His Word because we
know that “His Word is a lamp to our
feet and a light to our path” (Psalm
119:105). I also realized that it’s impossible to be free and happy in Christ
if you rely on yourself, on your own
strength. And I can say that I misunderstood Scripture because I was

eager to be wise in my own eyes. But
God brought me here to give me an
opportunity to realize that my paths
are not as straight as I thought. I had
closed my eyes to the truth and followed my own understanding. I put
my own desire in the ?rst place and
God in the last.
Camp Tejas gives me strength to
live and feel that God chose me as His
daughter to glorify His Holy name.
This camp is not just a Christian camp;
it’s a special little world where people
seek God and serve Him. I thought that
Christians in America were only Christians outside, but the Lord showed me
real Christians who are full of love and
always ready to help.
