student. A student in our youth group
had been struggling for quite some time
about accepting Christ. Many of our
youth workers and youth had been praying for this young person for a while. I
remember sitting in the back of the worship center on the last night watching
the youth sing praise songs and wondering what all the Lord was doing this
week in their lives when I noticed this
student stand up and walk to the front.
Immediately the tears started ?owing
from my eyes, and I began thanking
God because I knew why he was going
down. When the service ended, all those
who had been praying for this student
rushed to the front to share encouraging words and hugs. Everyone was crying tears of joy with huge smiles on their
faces. What an incredible moment it
was to watch as God answered so many
of our prayers right in front of our faces.
I thanked God that night for answering
a prayer and also for showing so many
of our youth just how powerful prayer is
and to never stop praying no matter how
long it takes.
This story and so many others are
why camp has been and will continue
to be important to me. I’m extremely
thankful to have had the opportunity to
attend camp at all ages.
