“Throughout my stay at Camp Tejas, I experienced many awesome things. First, the camp
brought refreshment to my walk with Christ. I was able to focus solely on Him for five days;
distraction-free. He totally blessed that time. Not only did He draw me closer to Him and
teach me some important truths, He also gave me the zeal to put His Word into action. Now
when I read His Word, I do something with it instead of just disregarding it. Also, God really
used the Camp Tejas staff to show me how I can serve others around me. It was so cool to
see students my own age giving up their entire summer to serve others. It has inspired me
to leave my comfort zone and look for ways to serve others, even if it makes me uncomfortable. God has shown me so many things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”
