Let's go girls
Design and consultancy giant Arcadis is tackling the engineering gender imbalance issue in an innovative and proactive way – that also happens to be a lot of fun.
Earlier this year they invited high school girls with an interest in science, engineering or technology to a day of mentoring, career guidance, collaborative activities and to celebrate all things STEAM for women all around the world – and Symes Group got to help out.
Arcadis champion women as leaders, and formed Women@Arcadis to provide a wonderful program that gives opportunities to female students with a common interest.
The girls saw a Steam video and heard about the career journeys of the Women@Arcadis. They took part in discussions and activities, shared ideas, and took the opportunity to mix and mingle. CEO
The group of mentors included engineers, leaders and consultants in sustainability, planning, environment and marketing and communications.
