Update from the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District:
Hi
everyone,
My
name
is
Brooke
Crawford
and
I
am
the
Illinois-‐Eastern
Iowa
District
Governor.
Our
district
is
made
up
of
15
clubs
and
273
members,
and
as
our
name
states
it
includes
the
entire
state
of
Iowa
as
well
as
the
Eastern
part
of
Iowa.
This
year
our
district
has
decided
to
put
a
large
focus
on
growth
and
involvement
of
our
clubs—for
the
first
year
we
are
implementing
a
President’s
Council
to
encourage
clubs
and
club
officers
to
feel
more
engaged
in
what
our
district
and
is
involved
in.
I
am
extremely
excited
to
see
what
the
rest
of
this
year
has
for
our
district
and
how
we
can
grow
in
membership
and
service.
We
have
a
few
upcoming
events
in
I-‐I,
such
as
our
Leadership
Training
Retreat
which
will
be
at
Augustana
College
from
September
25-‐26,
Holiday
Embrace
which
will
be
held
in
Bloomingdale,
IL
on
January
16,
as
well
as
DCON
which
will
be
later
in
March.
We
would
love
to
invite
you
to
join
us
for
Holiday
Embrace
which
is
a
dinner-‐dance
fundraiser
that
our
district
holds
every
year
to
raise
money
for
the
Spastic
Paralysis
Research
Foundation.
