Update from the Michigan District: Hi Sub-C! Things have been super busy here in MICKI the past two months! We've had two district events: Fall Rally and Snowpia, as well as a record breaking October! The month of October started off with our Fall Rally at Water's Edge Camp in Howell Michigan. We had a great turnout and were able to offer six different workshops throughout the day. Although the weather was cold and wet, that didn't stop us from serving! Throughout the weekend, we also hosted a talent show and raised almost $300 for the ELIMINATE project! During the month of October, our clubs and members set out to break their service, interclub, and K-Fam records! As a district, we completed 4,098.5 service hours, 28 interclubs, and 58 Kiwanis Family events! With a great month like October, our district is on track to meet all of its goals! Our second district event, Snowpia, was held on Saturday November 7 and hosted by Oakland University Circle K. With over 100 registrants, everyone had a ball at our "Mad Hatter Tea Party"! The day was filled with service and fellowship with a social afterwards. As we look towards December and winter break, our district is selling t-shirts through Wednesday, November 18 at 11:59pm. After Thanksgiving, we will also be launching a district merchandise sale! All of this can be found at our website: www.micirclek.org! Feel free to contact me with any questions or check out our website! Yours in service, Steven McCarty [email protected]
