"Airmanship is the consistent use of good judgment and well-developed skills to accomplish flight objectives. This consistency is founded on a cornerstone of uncompromising flight discipline and is developed through systematic skill acquisition and proficiency. A high state of situational awareness completes the airmanship picture and is obtained through knowledge of one’s self, aircraft, environment, team and risk."
Welcome sUAS Guide readers,
The FAA and DOT have finally brought out the Part 107 small UAS Rule, with the regulations becoming effective from August 2016.
I will leave my comment at that and let you read for yourself what more knowledgable folk have to say about it in this issue of sUAS Guide.
Thank you to all the commercial UAS operators that submitted their Commercial Drones in Action photos for this issue. Congratulations to those who made it in! If you didn't make it into this issue of sUAS Guide, don't give up, we are already working on the next issue of and will announce the next photo competition details on suasnews.com in the near future, so keep an eye out.
Don't forget to send in your white papers, video articles, photo articles, research papers, case studies etc to be considered for the next sUAS Guide coming out soon. Your chances of getting published are greater the earlier you submit.
