brushstrokes and gestural spatters, obvious traces of an action, of the author's energy: they transmit movement, give life; imprints, which testify to the artist's direct contact with the material, his physical presence; drips, bestowed from above, from “without”, as a fate which fertilizes and blesses; sprays, which, like the drips, are beyond direct or instrumental contact with the canvas, but are instead flung from the outside, lashed like a scourge; nebulous forms, which celebrate the ethereal nature of matter, its randomness, the inconsistency of things.
