Another series is entitled SHODOKA, The Song of Awakening,
inspired by a text in the Zen tradition by the Chinese master
Yoka Daishi (7th Century AD). It is made up of 48 paintings
which are 60 x 60 cms in size. On informal abstract backgrounds
I have quoted phrases from the original text.
