Upper Missouri Bar honors two on Law Day The Upper Missouri Bar Association hosted a Law Day Reception, May 1, where it awarded Distinguished Service Awards in memory of Hon. Gerald H. Rustad and Jack Colby.  The UMBA Distinguished Service Award honors those who foster a better understanding of law; contribute to the effective functioning of institutions of law and encourage respect for the law and the Courts. Hon. Gerald H. Rustad was District Court Judge in Williston from 1992 until he retired in 2010  Jack Colby was the Supervising Juvenile Probation Officer from 1983 until he retired in 2007.  Both men passed away in 2014, and their widows, Dawn Rustad and Verna Colby, and their families attended the reception. During the recognition, UMBA members announced their contribution to the North Dakota Bar Foundation in Memory of Hon. Gerald H. Rustad a total of $1,850.
