YLS FEED YOUR COMMUNITY RESULTS The YLS Feed Your Community food drive was a HUGE success. Great Plains Food Bank indicated that it was one of the Top 5 most successful food drives in which they have participated, based purely on the pounds of food collected. We raised 10,548 meals!! The meal equivalent is based on pounds of food and monetary donations. Every 1.2 pounds of food is equivalent to 1 meal and every $1.00 is 4 meals. As promised, our goal to fight hunger was also a friendly competition. Based on the number of meals donated per attorney licensed in the city, the winner is DICKINSON! Haley Cripe and Christina Wiskus managed to raise a staggering 16.3 meals per attorney. 38 THE GAVEL
