JOSH A. SWANSON
Josh is a lawyer at Vogel Law
Firm. Josh’s practice is centered
on litigation where he focuses
on energy and natural resource
law, commercial litigation, and
plaintiff ’s law.
Josh graduated magna cum laude
from the Creighton University
School of Law in 2009. Josh
has taught oil and gas law at
the UND Law School, had two
recent articles on oil and gas
law published in the UND Law
Review, guest lectured energy law
and policy classes at NDSU, and is
a regular presenter at conferences
and seminars focusing on mineral
owner rights throughout North
Dakota.
Born and raised in Maddock,
North Dakota, a small farming
community near Devils Lake,
Josh grew up a diehard Bison fan
and his weekends in the fall are
spent tailgating and following
NDSU around the country. He
also writes a monthly column for
Bison Illustrated magazine and is
active in the NDSU Team Makers
booster group. In the winter, after
Bison football, Josh follows the
Bison basketball team. An avid
life enthusiast and adventurer,
Josh enjoys being outdoors,
spending time at the lake,
running, hiking, and reading.
RACHEL GEHRIG
is an associate attorney at the
Aaland Law Office in Fargo,
where she focuses her practice
on family law. Prior to joining
the Aaland law firm, Rachel
clerked for the Honorable Steven
Cahill of the Seventh Judicial
District Court in Moorhead,
Minnesota.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of
Science degree in Psychology,
with a minor in Sociology, from
North Dakota State University in
2005. After a few years working
in the psychology field, she
returned to school and earned
her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude,
from the University of North
Dakota School of Law in 2012.
