Keep Asking
Grace Harms, 12th grade
Hiding yourself is easy
Put on a mask and pretend everything is fine
But hiding from yourself is not as breezy
You just sit around waiting for a sign
Not everything is as together as it seems
Holding and hiding anxiety
It's like getting caught up in an agonizing dream
Just keep hoping for unfound clarity
Feeling broken is not ideal
Walking around pretending that the pieces are put together
But nothing ever seems real
Will this game last forever
I could only hope for a day with no mask
But in reality that is simply too much to ask
