Where did you come from, and how did you get to the US?
“I chose a French program and the exchange program: Wep.”[Note: WEP International is a program designed to assist with exchange student experiences.]
How many years of English did you take, and why did you want to come to America?
“I started learning English at 12 years old or 11. I really want to experience the American culture and to continue my studies.”
What was the first thing you saw in America?
“The 4 x 4 cars and trucks. And there is a lot of blonde girls. Plus a lot of people wear socks with flip flops in school- which are improper.”
What was the first cultural difference you’ve experienced in America?
“It is much more/very different thing and there is a lot differences. The Pledge of Allegiance was very new.”
What’s different about American High School than French schools?
“In France, we finish late like 6 or 5 pm. Here the teachers are very close to the students. We don’t have school colors in French schools.”
What is your favorite American word/slang you learned in America and not in English class?
“Lump” cause I like 'So Much Lump' by the President of the United States.”
So far, what is your favorite American experience?
“Tomorrow, I will be going to an Air Show and I am excited. I will also fly over the Arch.”

“The people here are very upbeat and really happy to meet new people and very welcoming."
