Do you have a favorite writer..why?

Yes, two actually.

Ann Moura, for her connection to the purity and magick of the Green Witch. She is solid in her magickal practices, like Earth, and pure like Water and Air. The Fire is there also, but it's subtle in her magick, in her tone, in her books.

Ly De Angeles, for the literary beauty of her writing. It's like reading one of the classics, her play with words, her unique voice, her subtle nuance with the magic of it all. If Shakespeare had been a woman and a witch, he would've been Ly.

What advice would you give someone who has just begun to write?

Oh, goddess, once you start, don't give up. But don't beat yourself up if you need a break from it either. Everyone evolves at their own pace. Don't measure yourself by someone elses yardstick of success. Don't be taken in by Big Names (either individuals or companies). People are just people.

Get your inspiration where you will. Listen to that small voice in your head. Keep a notebook with you at all times. When your muse strikes, write everything down immediately, so that it's not lost. Write it down in scrawled pencil on used envelopes, write it down on the back of your hand, or restaurant napkins. stillness, with Inspiration as your companion.
