exactly what those ideas are—and how they affect our behavior. The present article will focus primarily upon large cosmological questions that bear tremendous significance on our current worldwide societal predicament. SOVEREIGNTY REVISITED If we are to navigate the perilous world we find ourselves living in today, then we cannot afford to indulge in ambiguous thinking—we must be crystal clear about the meaning of the words we use, such as “sovereign” and “Divine” and other important terms. Looking at the word “sovereign” itself, it derives from the Latin words savor, meaning “savior”, and regno, meaning “reign, king, ruler, etc.” Thus, a true Sovereign can, in some sense, be defined as “one who rules by virtue of performing the role of a savior.” Easily the most famous “savior” in history was Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, we do not have sufficient space here to go over the vast number of interpretations of whom he may or may not have been (or whether he did or didn’t exist) within the scope of this article; nonetheless, we accept the rather ubiquitous notion that he was a man who led an exemplary life and “preached the word, revelation, and laws of God and Heaven to mankind.” Furthermore, we acknowledge that it is generally accepted that the “word of God” preached by Jesus was to love your neighbor as yourself, to always live in such a way where your word is your bond, and to treat others the way you would like to be treated. Therefore, if we model our definition of “savior” after Jesus’s famous example, then we can say that a “savior” is “one entrusted by the Divine to exemplify and teach the Golden Rule of Law to mankind for the purpose of establishing the Kingdom of Heaven upon Earth.” From a pragmatic perspective, it almost goes without saying that no system of law can indefinitely sustain if not fundamentally based upon the Golden Rule. Put another way: if the Law does not serve All, then it is merely a system of arbitrary rules enforced by bald-faced tyrants. If there is to be peace on Earth, then all fo rms of “law” must be brought into harmony with the Golden Rule… and it just so happens to be the case that those who regularly go out of their way to observe and obey the Golden Rule—even in the face of a society seemingly hell-bent (pun intended) on celebrating material acquisition and other shallow “values”— represent the true keepers of our collective future. (This doesn’t make such people “superior” to others; what it does mean, however, is that such people self-evidently possess greater competence in the law than those who routinely take the Golden Rule for granted.) So, we can say that a Sovereign is “one who is prepared to competently uphold the Golden Rule.” In this sense, a Sovereign is a very specific—not to mention superlatively powerful—type of Magician (see part 1 of the present series). If it is true that the Will of the Divine is ultimately for peace to reign on Earth, then there could be no more powerful a Magician than the Sovereign. If the Divine is real, and if it can speak to men and women through vision and intuition, then wouldn’t it logically follow that those men and women who demonstrate TheSovereignVoice.Org
