of Australia all necessary information regarding
evidence (both documentary, and viva voce
evidence).
A trial date has not yet been set, because the ITNJ
requires all orders to be satisfied first. Further,
NCPA requested that the trial be listed no earlier
than August 2016, as it required time to prepare its
case. The trial will be conducted in person, and may
be held in Melbourne or Sydney, depending on the
relative convenience for all parties and witnesses.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY REQUESTED
Due to the substantial privacy and security concerns of the
parties involved, in which several witnesses for the Applicant
are children under the age of 18, the ITNJ will not be publicising any court transcripts or recordings of the hearings
in the matter of NCPA v Commonwealth of Australia. This
decision is in line with ITNJ procedures, as well as international standards. Notwithstanding, if you would like a copy
of the transcript and/or recording, please email the Registrar
at [email protected], with an explanation as to why you
have a vested interest in the matter.
THE NCPA APPLICATION DOCUMENT
While the preliminary hearings were requested to be held
privately, the trial will be broadcast to the public, with privacy protections in place for some of the witnesses. What is
appropriate to publish at this time is the formal application
made to the ITNJ by the National Child Protection Alliance,
clearly stating the issues and clearly identifying the remedies
they seek. View it here.
