A BRIEF PROFILE
Sir John Walsh of Brannagh
CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE INTERNATIONAL TRIBUNAL FOR NATURAL JUSTICE
Sir John Walsh of Brannagh, Barrister-at-Law, was born at Greenwich, England. From an early
age, he was required to travel internationally. As a result of this, he received his education on
three continents.
He has practised as an international and constitutional lawyer for the last three decades. He
has been admitted to the Honorable Society of the Inner Temple and the Honorable Society of
King’s Inns. In addition to his work as a Barrister, Sir John served as a Magistrate and Senior
Member of an Administrative Review Tribunal for eight years and has been an Accredited
Mediator for the last seventeen years. He has worked in a number of countries; including but
not limited to, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain, Holland, Ukraine, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Antigua, Norfolk
Island, New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines. He has also advised the governments of
various countries around the world.
Apart from Sir John’s legal work, he has also been engaged in a number of educational
initiatives at a university level and is Chancellor Emeritus of Greenwich University. He holds
Graduate Degrees in Law, Education, Jurisprudence and Criminology. In addition, he has been
widely published on a number of historical and legal topics. Sir John is a founding member of
the Human Rights Institute in London and is President of the Norfolk Island Bar Association,
which he founded in 1994. Further, he is also an International Notary Public.
He is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Life Fellow of the Heraldry Society of Australia, Companion of the Company of Armigers, former member of the Commonwealth Heraldry
Board and is a Fellow of a number of professional associations. Since 1995, Sir John has been
head of the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem and has acted as Regent of the Royal House
of Anjou. In addition, Sir John is a member of the Royal Stewart Council. Full biographical

As the first Chief Justice of the International Tribunal for Natural Justice (ITNJ), Sir John is
determined to ensure that the Constitution of the ITNJ is followed and that the principles of
the Free Access to Courts Act 1400 enacted during the reign of Henry IV are followed,
videlicet - “Every person shall be in peace. All his liege people and subjects may freely and
peaceably, in his sure and quiet protection, go and come to his courts, to pursue the laws, or
defend the same, without disturbance or impediment of any. Full justice shall be done. Full
justice and right be done, as well to the poor as to the rich, in his courts aforesaid”.
