BIG Q
Are Couples of the Same Zodiac Sign Compatible?
Dear Big Q,
I asked my male coworker for a ride to pick my car
up from the shop. We have ridden together -- in the
past before he got married -- to go to lunch. He told
me that he couldn’t. He and his wife agreed that
they would not give rides to friends of the opposite
sex. No judgment, but is this really a glimpse into
marriage? If so, I’m good single. I like ALL of my
friends. (Redwood City, California)
Dear Friends Forever,
Wooooooow. So basically, you and he can’t be cool
since he is a married man now? Well to answer your
question, I don’t necessarily think that this is a glimpse
into a “typical” marriage, but just because we don’t
agree on the understanding that this particular married
couple has established doesn’t necessarily mean that
it is wrong. What works for them within their marriage
and household is their personal business. But we
definitely are still entitled to our own opinion and my
~ Friends Forever opinion is that this is totally lame, considering you
both were friends before he got married. This type of
agreement would only be required in a relationship that
involves trust. Hopefully, as their marriage progresses
maybe their trust for one another will also grow.
Typically this type of situation arises when someone
has been involved in or suspected of infidelity.
Therefore, be patient with him if he is your “true” friend
because nine times out of ten this wasn’t his idea and
he is doing this to satisfy his wife. At the end of the day
let’s not forget that she is his number one priority now.
You have heard the saying many times before “happy
wife, happy life”. Good luck Ms. Lady.

Dear Big Q,
How real do you think astrology is? I mean do
you believe the people of the same signs are
compatible? I am a Leo and my baby is also a Leo.
We get along so well. I am convinced it is because
we share zodiac signs. What do you think? What
sign are you? (Waterloo, Iowa)
~ Leos4ever!
Dear Leos4ever,
My birthday is May 11th so my zodiac sign is a Taurus.
The funny thing is that I have never dated a Taurus
before so I don’t know if people with the same zodiac
signs are really compatible. Typically it is said that
people are attracted or compatible with people who
have different zodiac signs than themselves. So I
guess what you and your significant other have going
on can be considered somewhat special and unique.
Maybe you both are just soulmates and that’s why you
get along with each other so well. Either way it goes,
I wish you and your partner many years of love and
blessings. Just make sure I get an invitation to the
wedding when you all decide to tie the knot. Much love
to both of you.

Dear Big Q,
Valentine’s Day is very close. I am trying to “Stay
Woke”, as Childish Gambino would say. Knowing
all that I know about Valentine’s Day, I know it has
less to do with love and more with money. How
can I avoid celebrating this day with my girl?
(Vallejo, CA)
~ I Love Being Woke
Dear I Love Being Woke,
You say that you are trying to stay woke, but it seems
to me that you are actually sleeping, my brother. You
are absolutely right when you say that Valentine’s day
is all about the money to a certain extent, but what
holiday really isn’t? Bottom line is that it is not a good
idea to avoid celebrating Valentine’s day with your
girlfriend. You just want to avoid spending unnecessary
money on your woman for Valentine’s day. My advice
to you would be to plan something romantic for you
and your girl that comes more from the heart and less
from your bank account. Do something special for her
that you know she will enjoy. But don’t try to downplay
the actual day because it will not turn out good for you
in the end. Most women want to be acknowledged by
their man on Valentines Day, it’s just your decision on
how you plan to acknowledge her. Just keep in mind
that it doesn’t have to necessarily be about money
to make her happy. Be creative and make sure you
celebrate the mutual love that you have for one another
and everything else will fall into place. Good luck Bro.
