this is exactly what happens at Semeli. In fact breakfast is
one of the hotel’s trademarks. Μuch praised by its satisfied
partakers it is moreover in effect a very good reason for
which many choose –and return to– this hotel.
Popi and Katerina have been preparing breakfast at Se-
meli every day for the past 15 years. “It is the most im-
portant meal of the day as it provides you with the energy
you need for an active day ahead. Surely now that you’re
in Mykonos, you’re gonna need a lot more of this energy”,
they stress.
Among the delights are the delicious, handmade pies:
cheese pie, pie with leeks and spinach or pie made with
“tyrovolia”, a traditional Mykonian cheese. That’s not to
mention the fresh local eggs cooked in a variety of ways,
the Mykonian honey and milk pie (based on grandmother
Eugenia’s recipe), the freshly squeezed juices, seasonal
fruits and three different kinds of cakes, homemade bread-
sticks and hot fresh bread, local marmalades and numer-
ous other treats.
