Korfos
Though not really suitable for swimming, it is pre-
ferred by surfers and kite fans, alike due to its
strong winds. It is unorganized and beautiful, an
example of the “other” Mykonos.
Kalafatis
The northern wind that always seems to blow over
Divounia favors windsurfing, jet ski and tubes. Ka-
lafatis, the large, easily accessible bay 14 km south-
east of Chora, has hence become the meeting point
of water sports enthusiasts from all over the island.

Ftelia
“Gone with the wind” could be its motto. 9 km
north of Chora in Panormos bay, Ftelia is totally
exposed to the raging wind and this makes it the
uncontested queen of windsurfers. The latter may
steal the show, but still the beach boasts emer-
ald waters and thick, golden sand. Ftelia is mostly
unorganized, but there is the popular Alemagou
beach restaurant at one end.
