Peace and quiet seekers
Fokos / Mirsini
12 km north of Chora, they are two untouched, se-
rene beaches with deep emerald green waters and
thick sand. Umbrellas and sunbeds are out of the
question so you will need to bring your own. Fokos
has a small, family taverna, but if you opt for Mirsi-
ni remember to carry some water and snacks with
you. Mirsini is also nudist friendly.
Agios Sostis
An enchanting, fashionably alternative beach (a
small cove in effect), 6 km north of Chora. It used to
be a nudist’s haunt and remains unorganized, with
no umbrellas, sunbeds or beach bars. There is Ki-
ki’s taverna, however, which is a Mykonos “must”.
Get fortified with patience, though, as you’re (most
probably) in a long wait. You might be comforted
by the fact that not even the likes of Abramovich
are allowed to reserve a table here.
Kapari
A secret for those in the known, next to Agios Io-
annis, 5 km south of Chora. It is a small, charm-
ing cove engulfed by rocks, with an amazing view
of Delos. Tread carefully as there is a really steep
downhill path starting at the end of the road.

Merchia
On the northern side, 8 km away from Ano Mera,
it is a tiny, serene, beautiful, pebbly beach, ideal for
those looking for some peace and quiet. Bring wa-
ter and supplies along and be prepared for driving
on a dirt road.
