Platis Gialos
Close to town (5 km), organized, sports friendly
and spacious –as its name suggests– sandy beach
on the south coast. Several hotels and restaurants
offer the necessary fuels. It is frequented by fam-
ilies and watersports fans and those taking the
boats to Super Paradise, Paradise, Agrari and Elia.
Agia Anna
On the road to popular Kalafatis, it is a quiet, se-
rene and cozy, organized beach with an amazing
view to the Divounia peninsula. The wooden deck
leads to a superb taverna on the cave. Do give it
a try!
Lia
Far-off somewhere in the south, 11.5 km away
from Chora. A beautiful, organized, yet rather
quiet, beach with emerald waters, comfortable
deck-chairs, sunshades and a very good beach bar
restaurant, it is great for families and couples.
Megali Ammos
A quiet, lovely beach, a few minutes walk from
town. Sunset is magnificent here, especially if ac-
companied by a bite to eat in the small, traditional
taverna at the end of the beach.
Agios Ioannis
A golden sandy beach with crystal clear waters,
named after the picturesque church of Agios Io-
annis, that overlooks Delos, the sacred island of
antiquity. It is superbly suited for relaxation and
meditation, but then again if you are looking for
some action you won’t be dissapointed as here lies
the rather lively “Hippie Fish” beach bar. Located
3.5 km north west of Chora.

Agrari
A quiet, sheltered beach, 9 km from Chora, at the
southwestern end of the island, it is ideal if you
want to avoid (large) crowds. It boasts a long, gold-
en sandy strip and comes equipped with umbrel-
las, sunbeds and water sport facilities. It is also
accessed by boat from Platis Gialos.
