U10's & U12 match news
Under 10's & Under 12's at Marbella
On Saturday 11th October the Gibraltar Rugby Football Union (GRFU) U10’s and U12’s travelled to Marbella for their first away fixture of the season.
Gibraltar’s first match was against Marbella A, which proved to be a tough game, but our young side did not give up managing to score a well-deserved try in the second half.
By the second match our team was starting to find their feet, and their confidence, in what proved to be a close match. For much of the game the Gibraltar team kept ahead of Marbella only to fall behind near the end.
A day of learning and invaluable experience playing against different opponents and overall the team faired well and should be proud of their performance.
A thoroughly enjoyable day out and the players are looking forward to the next fixture.
The GFRU will also be hosting an inter-schools tournament on Saturday 26th November at Victoria Stadium. This is for pupils in years 6 & 7. Please contact your Head of PE or Head Teacher if you are interested.
