Before the Christmas break the GRFU held a festival of rugby which included a touch rugby tournmanet and a "State of Origin" full 15 a side match.

Five teams competed in the friendly touch rugby tournament with some exciting matches which were fill of running and chasing from the mixed bag of players. Touch rugby gives a chance for the less experienced players to compete alongside the more experienced players. Young players, some still in their teens, played alongside national team players and veterans in what proved to be an entertaining end to the year.
